Chase Haislip (he/him) is a Southern writer, director, and producer based in New Orleans. His work explores family, relationships, and generational trauma in the American South.
His films have been featured at the Sidewalk Film Festival, Macon Film Festival, Tryon Film Festival, among others.
He has two scripts on the Blacklist Top List - HOUNDSTOOTH, which examines the psychology of young Southern white boys, and QUEEN HEREAFTER, which tracks the legacies of violence in the Alabama lumber industry,
Chase is a member of Filmshop - a nonprofit collective of indie filmmakers committed to developing new work through peer support and collaboration.
Chase is a devotee to the “Southern Canon,” and a believer that telling honest, authentic, original stories is the best way to understand the South.
